Our 2006 objective was to build a democratic conscience that respects human dignity. To achieve this we concentrated on forming Promoters to facilitate human rights, looking to break the culture of exclusion that exists within the Peruvian people. As a commission, we developed sub themes: Prevention of family violence and sexual abuse, rights for all races, participation and citizenship in local governments. Each organization choose promoters from the participants of the formation workshops. In October two promoters from each organization attended a Promoter – Facilitator Meeting, to strengthen themselves with the tools they needed for training other Facilitators. They were prepared with material to help in training others to further our messages of human rights and dignity for all people, and continue the entrusted work. |
